In her 15+ years as a professional healer, Elyse Tera has accumulated over 3,000 hours of training in Chinese Medicine, including specializations and professional development in Shiatsu, Chinese Medical Massage, Classical and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Acupuncture. Elyse is currently a member of the Board Of Directors of the Arizona Society of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture.
Educational Highlights:
2000: Acupuncture certification from the prestigious New England School of Acupuncture. Studies: Classical Japanese and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Chinese Nutrition, Chinese medicine aetiology and pathology, and diagnostic skills of TCM. Elyse’s training also included studies in Western medicine such as biomedical pathophysiology, Western anatomy, neurology, and pharmacology.
1993-1995: Shiatsu, Advance Shiatsu, and Asian Bodywork certification from MontrealÂ’s Dragon and Phoenix School. Specialization in external Chinese Injury Medicine with Sam Slutsky. Specialization in Shiatsu for pregnancy and post-partum. Training in anatomy, physiology, and western biomedicine. Teaching assistant 1995-1996.
