What is Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a system of bodywork from Japan that uses finger pressure and passive stretching to stimulate specific acupressure points. This facilitates the release of endorphins - our body's natural pain-killers. The receiver wears loose, comfortable clothing and lies on a futon mat on the floor. Shiatsu promotes blood circulation, invigorates muscle, skin and internal organs, improves the flow of energy in the body, and reduces stress by infusing the receiver with a sense of wellbeing.
What is Tui Na?
Tui Na, often called "Chinese Medical Massage", is a system of hand movements and techniques designed to affect change in the soft tissue and joint relationships of the body. Tui Na can increase range of motion in stiff or damaged joints, reduce musculoskeletal pain, and restore the body to its natural state of balance by stimulating the internal healing mechanisms.
